Our experience, knowledge and hands-on approach will provide you and your family with access to a professional financial representative who will become the macro manager for your financial future. The single biggest advantage of working with us is our independence. We have no preconceived plan as to what your strategy or objective should be. Instead, we will help you discover through an educational process how to achieve your dreams confidently.
Our work is unique. Most investment advisors and other financial professionals focus on only one or two aspects of your financial life. We evaluate and coordinate ALL aspects of your financial life. We're not here to replace all the members of your team or products that are working well for you. By utilizing a holistic view we work at making your money more efficient and productive. Our experience goes beyond just the picking of products. Like a game of chess, we focus on understanding how all your financial vehicles, wills, insurances, debt structure should work together. We also assist your other advisors to perform for you at a higher level.
To build maximum wealth with the money you will receive over your lifetime, we have to evaluate all items, which include cost and income items such as housing, food, lifestyle, college and retirement goals. We will listen, put together written strategies with alternatives in a simple and easy-to-follow modeling process. You will see from the model what areas of lost opportunity exist with your current plan. We will continually inform and update you. For many of our clients this is one of the main reasons our clients stay with us. We will communicate and answer questions in an easy-to-understand language.
- What is the true cost of my current plan?
- Given my current planning, am I betting my results on the idea that taxes will be lower in the future than they are today?
- Will I be in the lowest tax bracket when I retire?
- How does all this fit together and is it working to meet my future retirement goals?
- Why has no one pointed this out to me before?
- You will have a basic understanding of why I recommend certain plans and strategies. I want you to understand how they work and why they are important to your financial success.
Most financial plans are only concerned with dollars and cents. We realize that this is only one aspect of comprehensive planning. Our goal is to create a plan that supports what you care about most, such as educating your children, being financially stable after retirement, and properly distributing your wealth.
You must feel good about the strategies. We want you to feel good about implementing the recommendations.
At no time will we pressure you into making a decision. We will always support you in doing what you know is best for you.
Liriano Wealth Advisory Group, LLC is an independent investment adviser registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and based in Newton. Eric Liriano, CFP®, founded it in 2013 and is its sole owner. We manage investments and plan retirements, estates, and business exits, coordinated with our clients' attorneys and CPAs, so that every part of your financial life works together.
Yes. As a registered investment adviser, the firm owes clients a fiduciary duty when it gives investment advice, which means putting the client's interest first. Eric is also a CFP® professional and is bound by the CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct.
An investment adviser is paid a fee for advice and management and owes a fiduciary duty. A broker is paid commissions on transactions. Liriano Wealth Advisory Group is an adviser and does not earn commissions on trades. Eric does earn commissions on insurance he sells in a separate capacity, and we disclose that before you buy anything.
Two official places. FINRA's BrokerCheck shows the history of individual financial professionals. The SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site shows registered advisers and their Form ADV. Both links are on our Resources page, and our own disclosure brochure is on the About page.
Investment management is a percentage of the assets managed, billed quarterly and deducted from your account. A written financial plan is a fixed fee. Consulting on a single question is hourly. You should not have to guess what you are paying, so the current figures are in the disclosure brochure and in the agreement you sign before any work starts.
Not on investments. The firm does not earn commissions on trades and does not charge performance fees. Eric is also a licensed independent insurance agent, and when a client buys insurance through him, he earns a commission. The plan says when insurance is recommended, and you may buy it anywhere.
Nothing. It is a conversation. You describe your situation, Eric asks questions, and he tells you honestly whether we can help and what he would start with. Fees begin only when you sign an engagement agreement, and not a day before.
The firm has a stated minimum for managed accounts, which it can waive case by case. Related accounts in one household can be combined to meet it. The current figure is in the disclosure brochure. Planning and consulting engagements do not require a managed account.
No. We are built to work alongside them, and we are not here to replace anyone who is doing good work for you. With your permission, Eric shares the plan with your estate attorney and CPA and asks for their input, so the investment, tax, and legal pieces come from the same facts.
Managed accounts and plans are reviewed on a regular schedule agreed at the start, and after any major change in your family, your work, or the law. Between reviews, you can call or email whenever a question comes up.
The firm is registered in Massachusetts and can work with clients in other states only where it is registered, exempt, or excluded from registration. If you live elsewhere, ask, and Eric will tell you whether the firm can serve you.
An independent custodian holds your accounts in your name. We do not hold client assets. You receive statements directly from the custodian, and you can log in to your accounts at any time through the Client Login page.
AssetMark is the investment platform through which the firm manages many client portfolios. It provides access to a range of investment strategies and to sub-advisers who can manage part of an account. Accounts on the platform carry a platform fee or a sub-adviser fee, described in the disclosure brochure.
Yes. You can give us written restrictions, such as securities or categories you do not want to hold, and we follow them. You can also accept or reject any recommendation, and you can end the agreement.
